Thyme Lemonade Recipe

Jump to Recipe

It’s aqua fresca Friday! Let’s made a refreshing thyme lemonade. This beverage is perfect way to stay cool this summer. It’s slightly sweet, tangy, with a subtle herbal flavor.

The thyme in this recipe adds complexity and sophistication to the classic lemonade recipe. This may quickly become your new favorite summertime beverage!

If you want to make this drink extra interesting, you can mix in tequila blanco!

Ingredients needed for thyme lemonade

Try to use fresh organic thyme. I got mine from the farmer’s market. Look for bright green leaves that have not flowered yet. This will make sure your lemonade doesn’t come out too herbal. Rather, it will have just the right amount of an herbacious taste!

Try going for big, juicy, bright yellow lemons! Pro tip: use a strainer or lemon squeezer to make sure the yucky seeds don’t get into your tasty lemonade!

How to store thyme lemonade

Keep this lemonade in a pitcher with a lid in the fridge. It will keep for 3 days. Though, be warned. This drink is so tasty, your household might just finish it on day one!

Benefits of Thyme

According to Healthline, the herb thyme has many health benefits. For example, it contains vitamins A and C. It also may boost mood, help blood pressure, boost immunity, and even help acne.

All I know is that tastes great in many different ways. So if it may be able to benefit me in these ways as well, then I am all for it!
