This recipe tastes just like Chipotle’s spicy Red Tomatillo Chili Salsa. Or, actually, it tastes a little better, in my humble opinion. l recently tried it and it was so good! As a result, I simply had to share it with you all here on the blog. I am so excited to share this spicy recipe with you all. So, let’s get to it!
Chipotle Style Spicy Red Tomatillo Chili Salsa
My sister is the one who taught me how to make this salsa. She is amazing when it comes to cooking. This salsa is so simple with only three ingredients. Yet, it is full of robust flavor. Additionally, it is very versatile and can be enjoyed with many different dishes. You can have it with eggs for breakfast. Or, you can enjoy it with tacos for lunch or dinner. Sometimes, I just eat it alone with chips as a snack! However you would like to enjoy it, just know that will not disappoint. It is that good!
Ingredients
- 6 Tomatillos
- 1 cup chile de arbol
- Salt to taste
- Water, to boil the ingredients
Directions
- Firstly, peel and rinse the tomatillos.
- Secondly, add the tomatillos and chiles to boiling water.
- You will know they are ready when the tomatillos change color.
- Make sure the tomatillos do not burst, as this can cause a bitter flavor.
- Add the cooked tomatillos, chiles, and salt to taste to a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Enjoy with tacos, eggs, or chips!
