Do you like cheesy dips? Then you will love this Queso Fundido con Chorizo Recipe! This delicious snack quickly became one of my favorites! As a result, I simply had to share it with you all here on the blog.
What is queso fundido?
Queso fundido is basically a Mexican melted cheese dip. The base of the recipe is Oaxaca cheese. This cheese is similar to string cheese or mozzarella because of the way it pulls apart and melts beautifully!
To liven the dip up a bit, you can mix in cooked chorizo. You may also top it off with things like chiles or pico de Gallo.
How to enjoy Queso Fundido
Quite honestly, you can enjoy this as a snack, appetizer, or meal. I’ve made it with paloma cocktail pitchers for birthdays, game days, you name it. It is a great dish to make for a party!
You can enjoy this queso fundido con chorizo recipe with flour tortillas, or chips. It’s up to you. There’s honestly no wrong way to enjoy this!
Queso Fundido con Chorizo Recipe
So I’ve already told you that yo make this you need, beef chorizo, cheese, and toppings. But how exactly do you make it? Well, frstly, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Secondly, in a cast-iron skillet, cook the chorizo according to the package directions on medium heat.
Señora Advice: Cast-iron skillets can get very hot. Above all, be careful when cooking this yummy treat!
Once the chorizo is cooked, in the same skillet, cover evenly with Oaxaca cheese. Next, add shredded mozzarella cheese. Then, place it into the oven for 5 to 10 minutes.
Señora Advice: The goal here is to melt the cheese. To clarify, too much time in the oven can make it hard.
After that, carefully remove it from the oven. Top with pico de gallo and sliced jalapenos. Finally, enjoy with chips or tortillas!

- 2 cups Queso Oaxaca
- 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp Pico de gallo
- 1 jalapeño canned or fresh, cut into slices

- Firstly, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
