The main ingredient is Skippy extra chunky peanut butter. To clarify, I find that chunky peanut butter gives these cookies an extra fun texture. Further, this recipe makes a great after-school snack for the kiddos! So, let’s get to this recipe!
Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup Skippy crunchy peanut butter
- 1 cup butter, softened (room temperature )
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ teaspoon baking soda
Instructions
- Firstly, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Secondly, in a mixing bowl, cream butter, peanut butter, and both types of sugar.
- Next, beat in eggs.
- Then, in a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients.
- Now, add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
- Then, mix until you form a dough.
- Refrigerate dough for about an hour. This makes the dough easier to manipulate.
- Once cool, break off dough into 1 inch balls. They expand quite a bit when baking!
- Next, add cookies to a lined baking sheet.
- Now, use a fork to make a crisscross pattern on the cookies. And to flatten cookies.
- Finally, bake at 375 degrees F for 10 minutes.
