What’s up, everyone? Bernie Molina here, author of Herencia Cookbook, full of authentic SalviMex recipes with a modern twist. Today, I will share an authentic Mexican hot chocolate recipe with you all. So, let’s get to it!
I am excited to share this recipe for a number of reasons! Firstly, hot chocolate is near and dear to my heart. For instance, I drank chocolate almost religiously every single day for the first 40 days after I had my son. My mom said that her elders believed that hot chocolate helped new mothers with milk production. They even believed that chocolate toned the uterus.
Moreover, Hernan Mexico recently sent me some gorgeous and delicious products to try! I have used Hernan’s products for a while now. For example, I love their hot chocolate skulls, hot chocolate frother, and bean masher. You may have seen me use these products in past IG videos.
Now, I have had the opportunity to try Hernan Mexico’s new chocolate con café. It’s so delicious! Chocolate and coffee? It’s a new mom’s multitasking dream! As a matter of fact, I recently shared a video of me making this new chocolate con café here. I love Hernan products because they are authentic. For instance, they source products straight from Mexico. Additionally, the company is woman-owned. Therefore, Herencia Cookbook and Hernan Mexico have similar values. I think this is especially true in regards to preserving Mexican and Latin culture. If you’d like to check out Hernan products for yourself, I encourage you to shop here.
