Today, I would like to share an easy grapefruit margarita recipe. This cocktail is tangy and delicious. It is perfect to enjoy alongside your favorite meal, like carne asada, tacos, or sopes. I recently had the pleasure of making this cocktail for my mom and husband at his birthday celebration. We had a cookout, watched the Dodger game, and spent quality time together. My mom and husband enjoyed the margaritas, while my father and I enjoyed some micheladas.

Grapefruit Margarita Recipe

To make this cocktail, you will need the following ingredients:

  • Tequila, 2 oz
  • Grapefruit juice, 4 oz
  • Senora Advice: you can use grapefruit juice from the bottle, or fresh-squeezed juice
  • Lime juice, 1 oz
  • Soda water, 4 oz
  • Lime wedge
  • Tajin, enough to rim the glass
  • Ice, enough for your glass

Now that you have gathered your ingredients, you are ready to build this cocktail! Firstly, moisten the rim of your glass with your lime wedge. Secondly, rim the glass with Tajin. Then, add ice to the glass. Next, add the tequila, lime juice, and grapefruit juice. Now, stir. Finally, add the soda water to the glass. And, enjoy!

This recipe is delicious with tequila. However, when you are in the mood to change it up, you can use mezcal in place of tequila. Then this recipe goes from being a margarita to a palomita. The smokiness of the mezcal and the tartness of the citrus is an amazing combination. What did you think of this easy grapefruit margarita recipe?
