How to Make Easy Pickled Onions Recipe
To make pickled red onions at home, you will need 2 red onions, boiling hot water, lime juice, a bit of orange juice and salt.
Firstly, you start by boiling water. Secondly, as the water boils, peel the onions. Then, thinly slice the onions. From there, put the sliced onions into a heat-safe bowl. After that, pour boiling hot water over the onions, ensuring that you completely cover them. Allow the onions to soak in the water until soft. This can take about 90 seconds. Next, carefully strain the hot water from the onions. After that, add the onions to your glass jar. Cover them with lime juice, orange juice and salt to taste. Seal tightly, and give it a shake!
