Cantaritos Recipe with a SalviMex Twist

Jump to Recipe

Today, I want to share a special SalviMex twist on the classic cantaritos recipe. Most cantaritos are made with grapefruit, orange, and lemon (or lime). But my recipe has a more tropical flavor. I hope you enjoy this cantaritos recipe with a twist.

Why a SalviMex Twist?

I am half Mexican-American on my father’s side. On my mother’s side, I am half Salvadorian-American. As a result, a lot of my recipes consist of Salvadoran and Mexican fusion. This recipe is no exception! The tequila, chamoy, and Tajin I use are all very Mexican. But, instead of grapefruit, orange, and lemon, I decided to use something different. So, I used pineapple, passionfruit, and arrayan!  Therefore, tropical Central American fruits are highlighted in this drink.
