Although I initially embarked on a career in the beauty industry, my heart always gravitated towards the kitchen, where my mother and the matriarchs before her passed down their culinary wisdom. My great-grandmother, Nana Lupita, was a culinary force to be reckoned with, infusing her dishes with copious amounts of garlic that we jokingly credit for her long, vibrant life. Then there was my beloved Nana Isabel, whose cooking was a manifestation of love itself, filling our home with the comforting aroma of Suavitel fabric softener and fried beans.

These remarkable women, along with countless others, are the heart and soul of Herencia Cookbook. It’s a homage to their strength, resilience, and unwavering love, manifested through the dishes they prepared with care and devotion. As I navigate motherhood myself, I find myself reflecting on their legacies, striving to embody their blend of assertiveness and nurturing in my own journey.

Join me on this culinary adventure through Herencia Cookbook, where authentic recipes meet modern twists and easy hacks. Let’s honor our ancestors with every meal, celebrating their rich heritage while embracing the convenience of our on-the-go lifestyles.
